Thank you for trusting us with your care and your family’s. Your agreement is on file, and your membership is being set up. Here is everything you need for the first few weeks, in the order you’ll need it.
Your new patient visit. If you need help with scheduling, our team will reach out after your enrollment to get your visits on the calendar.
Everyone in your household who enrolled gets their own first visit. Book them back to back if that’s easier for your family.
Once your New Patient visit is booked, we email your intake forms and information to set up your portal. Finishing them before the visit leaves more of your time for you.
Add (804) 531-6731 to your phone as “Venture Wellness, Danielle.” This is how you text your provider directly with non-urgent questions.
Your first visit is a real conversation. Your provider goes through your health history, your current medications, what’s working, and what isn’t, and you leave with a plan and a clear idea of what comes next.
This is also where we order your bloodwork. Your provider will tell you at the visit whether any of it needs fasting. Common fasting labs include a lipid (cholesterol) panel, fasting glucose, and insulin. Not sure if you need to fast ahead of your lab visit? Text us before your draw and we’ll confirm.
Direct access is one of the best parts of membership. Here’s which way to reach us for what.
For non-urgent questions, refills, a quick check on a symptom, or deciding whether you need a visit. During business hours (9 AM–5 PM, Monday–Friday) we reply the same day, usually within a couple of hours. Messages sent after hours are answered the next business morning.
Your intake forms, visit notes, and lab results live in the portal, along with secure messaging.
For scheduling, billing, and membership questions, such as updating your card or adding a family member.
Texts and messages are never for emergencies. For chest pain, trouble breathing, signs of a stroke, a serious injury, or anything that feels like an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. For a mental-health crisis, call or text 988. Urgent problems that can’t wait for a reply belong at urgent care, and we’ll follow up with you afterward.
Sports, camp, and school physicals are part of the membership. Bring the form to the visit and we’ll complete it there.
We don’t give vaccines in the office, but we keep track of what’s due, advise on the timing of each series, and can send a prescription to your pharmacy when one is needed. See where to get vaccines below.
As teens grow up, we help them take ownership of their own health. Part of each teen visit may be one-on-one time with the provider.
Parents stay involved in scheduling, billing, and everyday care. Virginia law lets teens receive some care confidentially, such as care for sexual health, birth control and pregnancy, mental health, and substance use, and we keep those conversations private. We always encourage teens to bring their parents in, and we help them do it.
Tell us what you’re due for, and we’ll help you choose where to go and send a prescription if it’s needed.
Routine vaccines for children and adults, by appointment. Bring your immunization record; children under 18 need a parent or guardian with them.

Our recommended pharmacy for vaccines from age 3. For Bremo, call (804) 288-8361.
Most Virginia pharmacies can give vaccines to adults 18 and over, and flu and COVID-19 vaccines to ages 3 and up.
The Virginia Vaccines for Children program provides vaccines at no cost for eligible children 18 and under through enrolled providers.
Want to see what’s recommended by age? The CDC’s easy-to-read schedules: children and teens and adults.
Visits, sick care, physicals, chronic-condition management, most in-office procedures, and doses of common oral medications given in the office are all part of your membership. A few extras, such as certain injections and rapid tests, carry a low member price. We always tell you the cost before anything is done.
Your membership is billed to the card you gave us at enrollment. For billing questions, call (804) 601-8625.
Please keep your health insurance. Membership covers your primary care, while insurance is there for emergencies, hospital stays, specialists, and imaging.
Our goal is simple: a practice that knows you, answers you, and takes the time to get it right. If anything about getting started is unclear, text us. That’s what we’re here for.
